What this measures
A one-second test measures something different from every longer window: it is pure burst, with no room for fatigue to appear. People routinely score two to four clicks per second higher here than they do over ten seconds, and that gap is the whole point of running both.
Because the window is so short, a single click landing a few milliseconds either side of the boundary moves your score by a full point. Treat the number as approximate and run it several times — the best of five attempts is a fairer picture of your burst than any one run.
This is the variant where technique shows up most clearly. A butterfly clicker with two fingers already in position can land 15 or more in one second, which is simply not reachable with a single finger no matter how much you practise.

Questions
What is a good 1 second CPS score?
The median lands near 7.6 clicks in one second. Above 10 is top 15%, and above 13 usually means butterfly or jitter clicking rather than single-finger speed.
Why is my 1 second score higher than my 10 second score?
Because fatigue has not started. Most people lose one to three clicks per second between the first and last second of a longer test, so a burst measurement always reads higher.
What is a good CPS score?
The median 10-second score is about 6.9 clicks per second. Above 8 CPS puts you in the top 30%, above 9 in the top 15%, and above 11 in the top 5%. Sustained scores above 14 CPS usually involve jitter or butterfly clicking rather than normal clicking.
How do I click faster?
For normal clicking, rest your wrist and use only the finger, keep contact light so the switch actuates without bottoming out, and use a mouse with a low actuation force. Beyond about 8 CPS, further gains come from technique — jitter or butterfly clicking — rather than from practice.
Is 10 CPS good for Minecraft?
It is well above average, and it matters less than people think. Since Java Edition 1.9 a sword has an attack speed of 1.6 per second and damage scales with the cooldown, so clicking faster than that actively reduces your damage. Clicking speed only decides fights in 1.8-style combat, which is what most PvP servers still run.
Do you detect auto clickers?
Yes, for the shared statistics. A script produces gaps between clicks that are nearly identical to each other, and human hands never are. Flagged runs still show you your own score, but they do not enter the public distribution.
Which duration should I use?
Ten seconds is the standard and the one worth comparing. One and five second tests measure your burst speed, while thirty and sixty second tests measure stamina, and scores drop noticeably as the window gets longer.
